Coronavirus crisis could transform how fashion works in China

Nowadays, Coronavirus has created a proper mass panic and unfortunately led to several deaths. As a consequence, the pandemic is also affecting the global fashion industry. For instance, the supply chain has been disrupted as production has been strongly delayed. In fact, many local governments have extended the closure of non-essential enterprises leading manufacturing to a proper stop in progress.

In this context, citizens in lockdown have flocked to social media also leading E-commerce to an increase in sales. “Customers can become more impulsive in their purchases when reminded of their mortality” our founder explains “as similarly happened in the wake of 9/11 and the London attacks of 2006”. However, the impact of the epidemic on China’s economy is still uncertain.
